Key Benefits

    All Benefits

    • Welcome offer: No public welcome bonus or sign-up bonus is offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; instead, Robinhood Gold subscribers join an invitation/waitlist queue and are onboarded in batches, so the value proposition is built entirely around the ongoing 3% flat earn rate rather than an upfront cash or points bonus (per Robinhood's credit card landing page at robinhood.com/credit-card/ as of 2026-05-23)
    • No traditional annual fee on the credit card itself; however, an active Robinhood Gold subscription is required to apply for, hold, and use the card, and Robinhood Gold costs $5 per month or $50 per year if paid annually (per Robinhood's Gold pricing page), so the effective annual cost of carrying the card is $50/year if you would not otherwise subscribe to Gold
    • Earn unlimited 3% cash back on every purchase, in every category, with no caps, no rotating categories, and no activation requirements (per Robinhood's product page); this is the highest flat, uncapped cash back rate on the U.S. consumer credit card market as of 2026-05-23 and is the headline feature of the card, beating the 2% flat rates on cards like the Citi Double Cash, Fidelity Rewards Visa, and Wells Fargo Active Cash
    • Earn unlimited 5% cash back on travel booked through the Robinhood Travel portal (a white-labeled travel booking experience built into the Robinhood app and accessed by cardholders); covers flights, hotels, and other travel inventory bookable in-app, with the 5% rate applied on top of the base 3% earn for all other spend
    • Robinhood Gold subscription required: $5/month or $50/year for Robinhood Gold; in addition to credit card access, Gold includes 4%+ APY on uninvested brokerage cash (rate variable, set by Robinhood), 3% IRA match on retirement contributions, Morningstar research, Level II market data from Nasdaq, larger instant deposits, and margin investing at a discounted rate (Gold features per robinhood.com/gold)
    • Cash back rewards are 1:1 — every 1 cent of cash back equals 1 cent of redemption value; rewards are deposited directly into your linked Robinhood brokerage account rather than being held as a separate rewards balance, so they are immediately usable as cash, withdrawable to your bank, or available to invest
    • Auto-invest cash back: cardholders can opt to automatically invest cash back into stocks, ETFs, options, or cryptocurrency held in their Robinhood account, turning everyday card spend into automated, dollar-cost-averaged contributions to a chosen security; this is a differentiated feature versus traditional bank-issued cash back cards that only offer statement-credit or deposit redemptions
    • Redemption options: redeem cash back as cash (immediately available in the linked Robinhood brokerage account, withdrawable to an external bank account via ACH), or auto-invest into any tradable security on the Robinhood platform; there is no minimum redemption threshold and no $25 / $50 / $100 minimum that most traditional cash back cards impose
    • Network: Visa Signature (per Robinhood's product page), so cardholders get Visa Signature network benefits where Visa offers them — including the Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection, Visa Signature concierge access, and merchant offers — though Visa Signature's protections vary by issuer and Robinhood does not bundle the optional Visa Signature travel/purchase protections that most other issuers add
    • No foreign transaction fees on purchases made outside of the United States (per Robinhood's product page); this makes the card usable internationally without the typical 3% surcharge that most cash back cards add, and combined with the flat 3% earn, the card delivers a net ~3% return on international spend
    • Metal card: physical card is made of 10g stainless steel (per Robinhood's launch marketing in 2024); the weight and premium feel are positioned as a flex against the plastic cards typical of cash back products, putting the Robinhood Gold Card in the same physical-card tier as the Apple Card, Amex Gold, and Chase Sapphire Reserve
    • Issued by Coastal Community Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.; Robinhood Credit, Inc. (a subsidiary of Robinhood Markets) services the card but Coastal Community Bank is the underwriting issuer of record (per Robinhood's cardholder agreement disclosures)
    • Family card support: primary cardmembers can add up to five family members as cardholders (not just authorized users) with their own physical cards and individual purchase tracking, at no additional cost; this is closer to a 'family wallet' model than traditional authorized-user setups
    • Granular spending controls in-app: cardholders can set per-cardholder spending limits, lock/unlock individual cards in the family, view itemized transactions per cardholder in real time, and freeze cards instantly from the Robinhood app
    • Virtual card numbers: generate single-use or merchant-locked virtual card numbers for safer online checkout, similar to Capital One's Eno and Citi's virtual account numbers; virtual cards can be paused, deleted, or rotated without affecting the underlying physical card number
    • Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay supported; contactless tap-to-pay supported on the physical metal card; mobile wallet provisioning is available immediately on card approval before the physical card arrives in the mail
    • App-first servicing: card management (transactions, statements, payments, disputes, locks, virtual cards, family member adds) is performed entirely inside the Robinhood iOS / Android app; there is no standalone Robinhood Credit web portal as of 2026-05-23 (cardholders must use the mobile app for full functionality)
    • Cash back posts immediately to the brokerage account at the time of purchase (no waiting for statement close or a 1-2 cycle delay), which means rewards can begin earning brokerage interest or be invested within hours of the qualifying purchase
    • Transfer to airline or hotel partners: Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; Robinhood is a brokerage and does not operate a transferable points currency or maintain transfer relationships with airline frequent flyer programs (Aeroplan, Avios, Flying Blue, KrisFlyer, LifeMiles, etc.) or hotel loyalty programs (Marriott Bonvoy, World of Hyatt, Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards), so cash back cannot be moved into the points ecosystem
    • Airport lounge access (Priority Pass, Capital One Lounges, Chase Sapphire Lounges, Amex Centurion, Delta Sky Club, United Club, Admirals Club, or partner lounges): Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; lounge access is reserved for premium travel cards in the $395+ annual fee tier on traditional issuers and is not part of the Robinhood Gold Card value stack
    • Global Entry / TSA PreCheck / CLEAR application fee credit: Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; statement credits for trusted-traveler programs are a benefit typically reserved for premium travel cards (Capital One Venture / Venture X, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Amex Platinum) and are not bundled on this product
    • Annual airline fee credit, hotel credit, dining credit, Uber credit, Walmart+ credit, or similar recurring statement credits: Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; the product is designed as a single high-flat-rate cash back card without coupon-book-style monthly or annual credits
    • Hotel elite status (Hilton Honors Diamond/Gold, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum/Gold/Silver, IHG Platinum, Wyndham Diamond) or rental car elite status (Hertz President's Circle/Five Star, National Executive, Avis Preferred Plus): Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; no co-branded travel partnerships are bundled with this product
    • Trip Cancellation / Interruption Insurance, Trip Delay Reimbursement, Baggage Delay Insurance, Lost Luggage Reimbursement, Travel Accident Insurance, Emergency Evacuation, or Emergency Medical insurance: Not offered (or not prominently disclosed) on the Robinhood Gold Card; traditional travel insurance protections are not listed in Robinhood's credit card marketing as of 2026-05-23, and any coverage available is limited to whatever the Visa Signature network provides at the network level (which Robinhood does not separately bundle or enhance)
    • Primary Rental Car Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) / Auto Rental Insurance: Not offered as a Robinhood-branded benefit on the Gold Card; cardholders who rent vehicles must rely on the rental company's own CDW, their personal auto insurance, or a separate card with primary CDW coverage (Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve, Capital One Venture X)
    • Cell Phone Protection: Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; this is a gap relative to cards like the Wells Fargo Active Cash, Chase Ink Business Preferred, and Amex Platinum that include up to $600 to $1,000 of cell phone damage/theft protection when the monthly bill is paid with the card
    • Purchase Protection (damage and theft coverage), Extended Warranty, and Return Protection: Not prominently offered or disclosed as Robinhood-branded benefits on the Gold Card as of 2026-05-23; any coverage available is at the Visa Signature network level and is not separately enhanced or marketed by Robinhood
    • Concierge service: Not offered at the Robinhood issuer level on the Gold Card; Visa Signature cardholders may access Visa's network-level concierge where Visa provides it, but there is no Robinhood-branded concierge desk
    • Established credit card history: the Robinhood Gold Card is a relatively new product launched in 2024, so it has a shorter track record than legacy bank-issued cash back cards; cardholders should expect that benefits, terms, and the Gold subscription pricing structure may evolve as Robinhood scales the product (the $5/month or $50/year Gold cost has held since launch but is subject to change per Robinhood's terms)
    • Co-branded airline, hotel, or merchant partnerships: Not offered on the Robinhood Gold Card; this is a single-network Visa Signature cash back product with no Delta / United / American / Southwest / Alaska / JetBlue / Hawaiian / Hilton / Marriott / Hyatt / IHG / World of Hyatt / Wyndham / Choice Privileges co-brand variant
