Earning rates

4
  • 3%

Earn unlimited 3% cash back on every purchase, in every category, with no caps, no rotating categories, and no activation requirements (per Robinhood's product page); this is the highest flat, uncapped cash back rate on the U.S. consumer credit card market as of 2026-05-23 and is the headline feature of the card, beating the 2% flat rates on cards like the Citi Double Cash, Fidelity Rewards Visa, and Wells Fargo Active Cash

  • 5%
    lodging

Earn unlimited 5% cash back on travel booked through the Robinhood Travel portal (a white-labeled travel booking experience built into the Robinhood app and accessed by cardholders); covers flights, hotels, and other travel inventory bookable in-app, with the 5% rate applied on top of the base 3% earn for all other spend

  • Redemption options: redeem cash back as cash (immediately available in the linked Robinhood brokerage account, withdrawable to an external bank account via ACH), or auto-invest into any tradable security on the Robinhood platform; there is no minimum redemption threshold and no $25 / $50 / $100 minimum that most traditional cash back cards impose

  • No foreign transaction fees on purchases made outside of the United States (per Robinhood's product page); this makes the card usable internationally without the typical 3% surcharge that most cash back cards add, and combined with the flat 3% earn, the card delivers a net ~3% return on international spend

Perks & memberships

1
  • Authorized usersFamily card support: primary cardmembers can add up to five family members as cardholders (not just authorized users) with their own physical cards and individual purchase tracking, at no additional cost; this is closer to a 'family wallet' model than traditional authorized-user setups

Travel & purchase protections

1
  • Network: Visa Signature (per Robinhood's product page), so cardholders get Visa Signature network benefits where Visa offers them — including the Visa Signature Luxury Hotel Collection, Visa Signature concierge access, and merchant offers — though Visa Signature's protections vary by issuer and Robinhood does not bundle the optional Visa Signature travel/purchase protections that most other issuers add
More benefits & fine print (11)Show
  • No traditional annual fee on the credit card itself; however, an active Robinhood Gold subscription is required to apply for, hold, and use the card, and Robinhood Gold costs $5 per month or $50 per year if paid annually (per Robinhood's Gold pricing page), so the effective annual cost of carrying the card is $50/year if you would not otherwise subscribe to Gold
  • Robinhood Gold subscription required: $5/month or $50/year for Robinhood Gold; in addition to credit card access, Gold includes 4%+ APY on uninvested brokerage cash (rate variable, set by Robinhood), 3% IRA match on retirement contributions, Morningstar research, Level II market data from Nasdaq, larger instant deposits, and margin investing at a discounted rate (Gold features per robinhood.com/gold)
  • Cash back rewards are 1:1 — every 1 cent of cash back equals 1 cent of redemption value; rewards are deposited directly into your linked Robinhood brokerage account rather than being held as a separate rewards balance, so they are immediately usable as cash, withdrawable to your bank, or available to invest
  • Auto-invest cash back: cardholders can opt to automatically invest cash back into stocks, ETFs, options, or cryptocurrency held in their Robinhood account, turning everyday card spend into automated, dollar-cost-averaged contributions to a chosen security; this is a differentiated feature versus traditional bank-issued cash back cards that only offer statement-credit or deposit redemptions
  • Metal card: physical card is made of 10g stainless steel (per Robinhood's launch marketing in 2024); the weight and premium feel are positioned as a flex against the plastic cards typical of cash back products, putting the Robinhood Gold Card in the same physical-card tier as the Apple Card, Amex Gold, and Chase Sapphire Reserve
  • Issued by Coastal Community Bank, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.; Robinhood Credit, Inc. (a subsidiary of Robinhood Markets) services the card but Coastal Community Bank is the underwriting issuer of record (per Robinhood's cardholder agreement disclosures)
  • Granular spending controls in-app: cardholders can set per-cardholder spending limits, lock/unlock individual cards in the family, view itemized transactions per cardholder in real time, and freeze cards instantly from the Robinhood app
  • Virtual card numbers: generate single-use or merchant-locked virtual card numbers for safer online checkout, similar to Capital One's Eno and Citi's virtual account numbers; virtual cards can be paused, deleted, or rotated without affecting the underlying physical card number
  • App-first servicing: card management (transactions, statements, payments, disputes, locks, virtual cards, family member adds) is performed entirely inside the Robinhood iOS / Android app; there is no standalone Robinhood Credit web portal as of 2026-05-23 (cardholders must use the mobile app for full functionality)
  • Cash back posts immediately to the brokerage account at the time of purchase (no waiting for statement close or a 1-2 cycle delay), which means rewards can begin earning brokerage interest or be invested within hours of the qualifying purchase
  • Established credit card history: the Robinhood Gold Card is a relatively new product launched in 2024, so it has a shorter track record than legacy bank-issued cash back cards; cardholders should expect that benefits, terms, and the Gold subscription pricing structure may evolve as Robinhood scales the product (the $5/month or $50/year Gold cost has held since launch but is subject to change per Robinhood's terms)
