No publicly advertised welcome bonus.
The mid tier of the Barclays Luxury Card lineup. The $200 airline + $100 dining credits offset $300 of the $699 AF before lounge value, and the 1.5cpp cash-back rate is the best of the Luxury Card tiers. Still hard to beat Sapphire Reserve or Venture X on transferable-points flexibility, but the all-stainless body and concierge appeal to some.

Key Benefits
- $200 airline credit
- $100 dining credit
- Priority Pass Select
- 1.5cpp cash back, 2cpp airfare
All Benefits
- No public welcome / sign-up bonus is currently advertised on the Mastercard Black Card product page; Luxury Card historically markets its premium tier on annual credits and benefits rather than a points/cash welcome offer, so applicants should not expect a Chase- or Amex-style intro bonus
- $695 annual fee for the primary cardholder per the product framing in this brief; the live luxurycard.com/blackcard product page currently displays a $699 annual fee with $249 for each Authorized User, suggesting Barclays Lifestyles raised the Black Card fee to $699/$249 in 2026 (existing cardholders should confirm with the issuer)
- Each Authorized User card carries its own additional annual fee (brief specifies $195 per AU; current product page shows $249 per AU after the 2026 update); each AU receives the full World Elite Mastercard Luxury benefit suite including Priority Pass Select access
- Card construction is patented metal; the Black Card has historically been marketed as a hybrid patent-pending carbon and stainless steel card, while the current luxurycard.com product page lists only 'Made of Stainless Steel' for the Black Card (carbon-front messaging may have been retired or simplified in 2026 marketing copy)
- 2x points (double points) on airfare and hotels booked through the Luxury Card travel booking platform, per the 'Earn On Airfare And Hotels' panel on luxurycard.com/blackcard; otherwise 1x point per $1 on all purchases with no caps, no blackout dates and no point expirations
- Luxury Rewards points redeem at 1.5 cents per point ($0.015) when redeemed for airfare through the Luxury Card travel portal (50,000 points = $1,000 airfare), and at 1.0 cent per point for cash back (50,000 points = $500 cash back per Luxury Card's value disclosures); brief framed cash back at 1.0 cpp while the current product page shows a $750/50,000 cash back value, indicating an updated 1.5 cpp cash-back rate on the live page (this discrepancy should be re-verified)
- 24/7/365 Luxury Card Concierge for personal assistance with travel planning, dining reservations, exclusive tickets, gifting, VIP experiences, and everyday tasks such as sending flowers or researching products and services
- Up to $100 annual airline credit (brief) toward flight-related purchases including airline tickets, baggage fees and upgrades with no enrollment and no airline designation required; current luxurycard.com product page lists this benefit at $200 per year, indicating the airline credit was doubled in the 2026 refresh
- Up to $100 annual dining credit (currently displayed on luxurycard.com/blackcard) toward qualified restaurants worldwide when paid with the Luxury Card, no enrollment or third-party apps required (this dining credit was not in the brief, so it appears to be a newly added 2026 benefit)
- Priority Pass Select membership with complimentary access for the cardholder and guests to 1,800+ airport lounges in 600+ cities across 140+ countries, with unlimited visits for both the member and accompanying guests; access also includes participating airport restaurants and mini-suites simply by presenting the Luxury Card
- MasterRental Coverage (Mastercard's auto rental Collision Damage Waiver): secondary coverage for covered damages to an eligible rental vehicle when the entire rental transaction is paid with the Luxury Card and the rental agency's CDW is declined
- Trip Cancellation / Trip Interruption insurance: secondary coverage for a covered, roundtrip purchase up to $5,000 per insured person when non-refundable, roundtrip travel charges on the Luxury Card are canceled or interrupted for a covered reason
- Travel Accident Insurance: up to $250,000 in common carrier accidental death and dismemberment coverage at no additional cost when the entire travel fare is charged to the Luxury Card for a covered trip
- Baggage Delay Insurance: reimbursement of up to $100 per day (maximum 3 qualifying days, so up to $300 per covered delay) for qualifying baggage delays of more than 4 hours from arrival at the travel destination (delays at the cardholder's primary residence are excluded)
- Cellular Phone Protection: pay the monthly mobile phone bill with the Luxury Card to activate coverage that reimburses the actual cost to repair or replace the phone if it is damaged or stolen (deductibles and per-claim caps apply per standard Mastercard cellular phone protection terms)
- Up to $100 statement credit for the Global Entry application fee (brief framing); the current luxurycard.com/blackcard product page lists this as up to $120 reimbursement for a Global Entry OR TSA PreCheck application fee, indicating Barclays Lifestyles increased the trusted-traveler credit in line with the 2026 Global Entry fee hike from $100 to $120
- No foreign transaction fees on international purchases (a standard premium-Mastercard benefit and explicitly confirmed in the 'No Foreign Transaction Fees' panel on the Black Card product page)
- World Elite Mastercard Luxury / World Elite Mastercard benefits suite: Mastercard ID Theft Protection (monitors personal information including SSN, email, date of birth and credit activity for fraud alerts), Mastercard Zero Liability Protection on unauthorized purchases, and World Elite curated offers and experiences activated at mastercard.us/worldeliteoffers
- Master Trip Travel Assistance, Medical Assistance and Master Legal Referral Service: 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year travel assistance hotline designed to help the cardholder or travel companions when traveling 50+ miles from home (the cardholder pays third-party costs; coordination and referrals are complimentary)
- Lyft credit perk for World Elite Mastercard: $5 Lyft credit added to the account after taking 3 paid Lyft rides on the Luxury Card in a calendar month, limited to one Lyft credit per calendar month (enroll the Luxury Card in the Lyft app to activate)
- 0% Introductory APR on balance transfers for 15 months when the balance transfer is made within 45 days of account opening, then the variable APR is 19.49% to 27.49% (a balance transfer fee applies); the introductory APR does not apply to purchases
- Avis President's Club status (brief): Not Offered as an explicit, named benefit on the current luxurycard.com/blackcard product page in a single-curl fetch on 2026-05-23; if previously bundled with the Black Card, the named partnership does not appear in the current public benefit lineup and should be confirmed with Luxury Card before relying on it
- Hertz Five Star (Hertz Gold Plus Rewards Five Star) status (brief): Not Offered as an explicit, named benefit on the current luxurycard.com/blackcard product page in a single-curl fetch on 2026-05-23; the live page lists MasterRental coverage and the Luxury Card travel booking platform's rental-car perks but does not advertise a Hertz Five Star tier match
- GeoBlue Trip Health Insurance (brief): Not Offered as a named benefit on the current luxurycard.com/blackcard product page in a single-curl fetch on 2026-05-23; the Black Card's travel-medical assistance is delivered via Mastercard's Master Trip Travel / Medical Assistance hotline (coordination only, not primary medical insurance), so a separate GeoBlue policy does not appear to be bundled
- Cruise and tour partner credits (brief did not request, but commonly bundled with Luxury Card): Not explicitly listed on the luxurycard.com/blackcard product page in a single-curl fetch on 2026-05-23, so applicants should not assume the Amex Cruise Privileges Program-style perks are included
- Centurion / Amex Global Lounge access: Not Offered (the Luxury Card Black is a Barclays-issued Mastercard, so it does not include Amex Centurion Lounge, Escape Lounges by The Club, or Delta Sky Club access); lounge access is delivered exclusively through Priority Pass Select
- Hotel elite status (Hilton Gold, Marriott Gold, IHG Platinum, etc.): Not Offered as an automatic benefit; preferred rates, on-property amenities and upgrades are available only when the stay is booked through the Luxury Card travel booking platform's curated luxury hotel program (which functions similarly to FHR / The Hotel Collection on Amex Platinum but without complimentary chain elite status)
- Transferable airline / hotel partners: Not Offered; Luxury Rewards is a fixed-value travel-portal program with no 1:1 transfer partners, so the maximum redemption ceiling is 1.5 cpp on airfare booked through the Luxury Card portal (no aspirational business / first-class transfer-partner sweet spots like Amex MR or Chase UR)
- Authorized Users (Additional Mastercard Black Card): $195 each per year per the brief, currently displayed at $249 each on the live luxurycard.com product page; each AU receives the World Elite Mastercard Luxury benefit suite including Priority Pass Select with unlimited visits for the AU and the AU's guests
