The Citi Strata Card carries less favorable transfer ratios than the premium Strata Premier and Strata Elite cards. To reach the full airline and hotel partner roster at the premium 1:1 ratios (which includes American Airlines AAdvantage, Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Avianca LifeMiles, Singapore KrisFlyer, Qatar Privilege Club, and Turkish Miles&Smiles, among others), a cardholder needs to also hold a Strata Premier or Strata Elite
Best-fit positioning: the Citi Strata Card works well as a no-annual-fee entry point into the Citi ThankYou Rewards ecosystem, and it is most useful when paired with a premium Citi Strata Premier or Citi Strata Elite to unlock the full transfer-partner list (including American AAdvantage) at 1:1 ratios. For frequent international spend or for trip protections, a different card is the better choice
