Key Benefits
All Benefits
- Earn 60,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening (current Chase issuer offer for the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card; worth roughly $870 at TPG's February 2026 Rapid Rewards valuation of 1.45 cents per point)
- $149 annual fee applied to the first billing statement (unchanged in the 2025 Southwest cobrand refresh; Premier Business retained its $149 fee while the personal Priority card moved to $229)
- 6,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points each Cardmember anniversary year, worth approximately $87 at TPG's 1.45 cents-per-point valuation (Chase issuer page; effectively offsets more than half the annual fee in points)
- 3X Rapid Rewards points per $1 on purchases made directly with Southwest Airlines, including flights, inflight purchases, Southwest Vacations, Southwest Cargo, Southwest Charters, and Southwest Cruises (Chase issuer page)
- 2X Rapid Rewards points per $1 on the first $8,000 in combined annual purchases at gas stations and at restaurants, then 1X after the cap is met within the account anniversary year (this is the post-2025-refresh combined category on Chase's current Premier Business product page)
- Transitional 2X categories on Rapid Rewards hotel and rental car partners and on local transit and commuting purchases (including ride-hailing) appear in the current Chase product page Rewards section; the legacy 2X tier covering social media and search engine advertising and internet, cable, and phone services that previously distinguished the Premier Business from the personal Premier was removed in the 2025 cobrand refresh and should not be expected for 2026 statements
- 1X Rapid Rewards points per $1 on all other purchases (Chase issuer page)
- 1 Rapid Rewards point per $1 on the first $15,000 of balance transfers made during the first 90 days from account opening (unusual benefit on a cobrand business card; Chase issuer page)
- 2 EarlyBird Check-Ins per year benefit historically associated with the Premier Business: this benefit was removed as part of the late-2025 Southwest cobrand refresh and is not listed on Chase's current Premier Business product page; cardholders should plan around its absence (consistent with TPG's October 29, 2025 documentation that EarlyBird Check-Ins and four upgraded boardings were sunset across the Southwest cobrand portfolio on December 31, 2025)
- First standard checked bag free for the primary Cardmember and up to 8 additional Passengers on the same Southwest reservation (at $35 per first checked bag under Southwest's 2025 baggage policy, a four-person business team round-trip saves up to about $280; authorized users and employee-card users are NOT eligible for the bag benefit)
- Select a Standard or Preferred seat within 48 hours of departure when available, for the primary Cardmember and up to 8 Passengers on the same reservation (replaces the prior open-seating boarding-position perks under Southwest's assigned-seating overhaul)
- Group 5 priority boarding for the primary Cardmember and up to 8 Passengers on the same reservation, or an earlier group if their tier status or fare entitles them to one (Chase issuer page; aligns with Southwest's January 2026 boarding revamp)
- 25% back as a statement credit on Southwest inflight Wi-Fi and drink purchases made with the Premier Business card, including purchases made by employee cardholders on the account; credits post the same day and appear on the monthly statement within 6-8 weeks (Chase issuer page)
- 15% Southwest flight promotion code delivered to the primary Cardmember's Rapid Rewards account each Cardmember anniversary year, valid for one year, excluding Basic fare (Chase issuer page; new perk introduced with the 2025 refresh that effectively replaces the legacy travel credit)
- 2,000 tier qualifying points (TQPs) toward Rapid Rewards A-List and A-List Preferred status for every $5,000 spent on the Premier Business card per calendar year, with no cap (A-List requires 35,000 TQPs, so roughly $87,500 of card spend can fully qualify a business owner; Chase issuer page)
- 10,000 Companion Pass qualifying points boost deposited automatically each calendar year by January 31 (or within 30 days of account opening for new accounts); points from Premier Business spending and from the welcome bonus also count toward the 135,000 calendar-year Companion Pass threshold per Frequent Miler's 2025 Complete Guide
- No foreign transaction fees on purchases made outside the United States (Chase issuer page; example: $5,000 of international spend avoids about $150 in fees that a 3% card would charge)
- Free employee cards at no additional cost, with the ability to set individual employee spending limits; purchases made on employee cards earn Rapid Rewards points into the primary account (Chase issuer page)
- Refer-A-Business bonus: earn up to 100,000 bonus Rapid Rewards points per calendar year by referring approved Southwest Rapid Rewards business cardholders, at 20,000 points per approved referral (Chase issuer page; allows up to 5 successful referrals annually)
- Lost luggage reimbursement up to $3,000 per covered traveler when checked or carry-on baggage is lost, damaged, or stolen during a covered trip charged to the card (Chase issuer page Travel and Purchase Protection section)
- Baggage delay insurance: reimburses up to $100 per day for up to 3 days for essential purchases like toiletries and clothing when checked baggage is delayed over 6 hours (Chase issuer page)
- Purchase protection covers eligible new purchases against damage or theft for 120 days from the date of purchase, up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 per account (Chase issuer page Travel and Purchase Protection section; 90 days for NY residents under standard Chase visa rules)
- Extended warranty protection extends the manufacturer's U.S. warranty by an additional year on eligible warranties of 3 years or less, up to 4 years total from the date of purchase (Chase issuer page)
- Visa Signature Business card with My Chase Plan budgeting tool that lets cardholders convert eligible purchases into fixed-payment plans of 3 to 24 months (Chase issuer page)
- Welcome bonus eligibility: ineligible if you currently have the Premier Business card, or if you received a new-Cardmember bonus on this business card in the last 24 months; Chase 5/24 rule does NOT apply to most business cards from the applicant's perspective because Chase business cards typically do not report to personal credit bureaus, but 5/24 still gates initial business-card approvals for applicants over the threshold (per OMAAT Southwest Performance Business review and standard Chase business-card application guidance)
- Primary auto rental collision damage waiver (CDW) on business rentals: this is the standard Visa business card benefit pattern Chase historically applied to the Premier Business; the current Chase product page does not enumerate a CDW level in the Travel and Purchase Protection section, so confirm primary status in the Guide to Benefits before declining the rental counter coverage on a business trip
- Cell phone protection: Not offered on the Premier Business card (Chase does not list cell phone protection in the Travel and Purchase Protection section of the current Premier Business product page, unlike the Ink Business Preferred which does include it)
- Lounge access: Not offered (Southwest Airlines does not operate airport lounges and the Premier Business card does not include Priority Pass, Sapphire Lounge, or any other airport lounge benefit; TPG explicitly notes Southwest lacks lounges company-wide)
- Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS application fee credit: Not offered on the Premier Business card; per OMAAT this credit on the Southwest cobrand portfolio is reserved for the higher-fee Southwest Rapid Rewards Performance Business card
- Transfer partners: Not applicable (Rapid Rewards points earned on the Premier Business are automatically transferred from Chase to Southwest after each billing cycle and stay in Southwest Rapid Rewards; they cannot be transferred to Ultimate Rewards or other airline or hotel programs, and points outside Rapid Rewards cannot be transferred in from Chase travel partners)
- Hotel or airline elite status grant: Not offered as a complimentary status match (the card accelerates A-List qualification via TQP earning and Companion Pass qualification via the 10,000-point annual boost, but does not hand the cardholder Rapid Rewards or partner status automatically)
- Trip cancellation, trip interruption, and trip delay reimbursement: Not listed in the current Premier Business product page Travel and Purchase Protection section, in contrast to the Ink Business Preferred which does include trip cancellation and interruption coverage; the Premier Business travel insurance suite is limited to lost luggage and baggage delay
